Ep 17: Exploring Alternate Methods to Mandated Testing

There’s a lot of talk in the U.S. about how to best determine whether or not children are actually learning in our schools. The U.S. has standardized testing, but some other countries have followed a different approach known as “inspection and review”. Sanford professor Helen “Sunny” Ladd thinks such an approach shows great promise for U.S. schools and children. She talks about the idea with Kelly Brownell.
